Houston Bark Park and Daycare is a family-run establishment and is one of the most prominent doggy daycares in the Houston area. We have 2 locations in the Heights and 1 location in Houston’s Energy Corridor. We have garnered a reputation for giving expert-level care to our dogs that attend our doggy daycare and the customer service that we give to our clients.
Our Energy Corridor location, our newest Houston Bark Park and Daycare facility, is right under a year and we’ve massively grown since opening our doors in August of 2022. We’ve been able to form an amazing team of dedicated employees that go above and beyond for the pups that visit our doggy daycare. Since opening, we’ve been able to host a series of fun events for Energy Corridor’s dog community. Our Valentine's Day Doodle Romp and Spring Dog Market, where we hosted a hilarious weenie dog race, were huge hits with our staff and attendees.

Houston Bark Park and Daycare is Hiring an Apprentice Dog Groomer!
As our Energy Corridor location continues to flourish, the demand for dog grooming services has grown, necessitating the expansion of our grooming team. Apprentice dog groomers will work at our Energy Corridor location and will be responsible for grooming the many dogs that come into our facility. Nail trimmings, ear cleanings, teeth brushing, and de-shedding will also fall under the responsibility of the apprentice groomer. Those that are hired for this position will be able to hone their skills by learning to work with a variety of dogs, both in size and temperament. Dog-handling skills are guaranteed to be fine-tuned since our Energy Corridor location is quickly growing in the number of dog grooming and bathing reservations that we get per day.
Apprentice Dog Groomer Requirements
With Houston Bark Park and Daycare’s dog grooming, we like to pride ourselves on the quality of staff that's hired to give our pups exceptional services. Apprentice dog groomers must be 18 years of age or older and should love being around dogs. Previous experience working in a professional bathing environment or completion of grooming school is a huge plus!
Since we take being a clean and germ-free facility seriously, interested applicants must be able to work in an environment where they are exposed to disinfectants and sanitation products. Although our doggy daycare staff is diligent about cleaning, applicants must also be comfortable with being around animal dander and excretions. At times, some of our bigger dogs will have to be picked up to be washed or groomed. Because of this, applicants must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Apprentice Dog Groomer Incentives
We currently have openings for both part-time and full-time positions in our apprentice groomer role. Full-time employees are eligible for health, vision, and dental insurance coverage. At Houston Bark Park and Daycare, we value and appreciate our employees. As a token of our gratitude, we offer various bonuses and incentives. Our team members receive anniversary bonuses, monthly incentives, and a special Christmas bonus. In addition to this, we provide a generous $200 sign-on bonus to those who remain employed with us for 60 days.
