Registration and Reservations

All dogs staying with us most have a completed registration form on file.  This form allows us to get to know your pup and offers an opportunity to review important behavioral and health information.  The registration form also allows owners to upload vaccinations in one place.  It is required for Houston Bark Park to have 24 hours to review new client registration forms before boarding your pup.  If you are interested in filling out the registration and having same day boarding, a same day registration and boarding fee will be incurred.

Age Requirements

Age minimum of 4 months

Daycare 

For boarding dogs, daycare is available as an add-on — full days Monday through Friday, a half day on Saturday, and unavailable on Sundays.

Good Health

Dogs must be in good health to use services. Dogs cannot use our services if they are presenting signs of illness including but not limited to coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, ear infections or have any open wounds or have stitches.  

 

Spay and Neuter

Intact Males:

Intact males are welcome to board contingent on behavior.

Unaltered Females:

While we do not accept dogs in heat to check in for overnight boarding, we do recognize that a dog may come into heat cycle unexpectedly.  If a dog enters its heat cycle while boarding with us, there are two options that exist:

 

Option 1: Dog must be picked up by owner or emergency contact

Option 2: If the owner does not elect to pick up the dog, there will be an additional daily fee associated with the dog’s stay that must be paid at pickup.

Vaccinations 

Up to date on rabies, distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations

 

Flea/Tick 

Current on Flea and Tick preventions.  If fleas or ticks are found on a dog, they will be bathed at the owner's expense.

Human Friendly

All dogs in our care should be tolerant of the staff.  Our staff will be responsible for three daily health checks and should be able to touch all of the pups in our care. Overly human aggressive dogs (unable to be handled by staff) may not do well in this facility and are accepted under manager's discretion. Special handling fees will also apply.

Dog Friendly

Our overnight boarding with potty breaks represents a great option for dogs that prefer their alone time and do not thrive in off-leash play.  While not all dogs are required to attend daycare, they should all be dog tolerant and non aggressive.  Overly aggressive dogs (unable to be near any other dogs) may not do well in this facility and are subject to manager's discretion. Special handling fees will also apply.

Health and medications

We do administer medications free of charge.  

​

Injectables: 

While we do have trained CPR and First aid staff on site, we do not have vet techs on staff and therefore do encourage owners to take their doggies to board with a licensed veterinarian for overnight boarding if they require injectables. We do hope to employ a licensed veterinary tech to work on staff to be able to provide this service in the future.

 Our lobbies are closed during major holidays. Don't worry, we're still here for your pups!
