Free Play Daycare
Both our Maxie and Shepherd locations offer our free play off leash program. This program has three different daily groups for your pup to participate and lots of room to explore. These three groups are separated by size, temperament, energy levels, and play styles. This platform allows dogs to roam, play, and rest as they see fit in a larger pack of dogs than our academy program. Dogs that are able to self-regulate their activities are best suited and get the most out of this program. Daily health checks are done twice a day by pet professionals extensively trained in body language. These pups also have unlimited access to our many amenities including cold plates, misters, pools, and bubble cannons! Check out more about our amenities here! Evaluation and Trial day
Able to pass temperament test and trial day. Temperament tests incur a one time additional fee of $20.00

Dogs must be in good health to use services. Dogs cannot use our services if they are presenting signs of illness including but not limited to coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, ear infections or have any open wounds or have stitches.

Spay and Neuter
All pups six months or over must be spayed or neutered
Vaccinations
Up to date on rabies, distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations
Flea/Tick
Current on Flea and Tick preventions. If fleas or ticks are found on a dog, they will be bathed at the owner's expense.

Attendance
Must attend daycare once per 3 months (four times a year)to remain active
​
Uniform

Must have their HBP uniform tag on their when attending daycare.

Parents must also scan their pups in and out with a separate set of tags. We recommend keeping a set of tags on a key ring or taking a photo of the tags and using the photo to scan.

Overnight Boarding
Daycare Requirement:
Our Maxie and Shepherd locations revolve around all day play for daycare AND overnight dogs.
All boarding pups attend daycare during the day and follow daycare requirements.

Saturday - Sunday: 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Packing Food:
To best comply with any of your pup's dietary restrictions, we encourage owners to bring their own food from home. It is required for food to be separated and labeled upon drop off for lodging. This allows us to save space and be as organized as possible when preparing your pup's meals. Additionally, this allows us to catalog each meal when they are dropped off. If food is not bagged, a bagging fee will be charged at $1 per meal.

Packing Medications:
We ask that you please pack medications separately from your pup's meals. We catalog all medications, create medication cards, and organize oral medications in pill boxes. We offer pill pockets, peanut butter, and wet food to help administer medications.
​
Bedding:
We encourage parents to bring small blankets, bedding, or clothing that smell like home for their pup. These blankets go on top of provided cots. For storage reasons, we do not permit large dog beds**.
**Our Luxury suites at the Energy Corridor location can accommodate large dog beds.

Boarding Enhancers:
Enhance your pup's stay with us by adding report cards and evening snacks!
​
Report Cards: These daily report cards include information about your pup's day and will include two photos! $10 per day
​
Evening snack: Our late night snacks offer a fun way for your pup to wind down in the evening. Snacks can include frozen cored apples, frozen carrots, and a filled kong! $5 per night

Amenities
Is it really doggy daycare without a splashpad? The splash pads were built and designed in-house and are always a big hit with our pups and employees! Be sure to check out the cameras to see how much fun everyone has playing with our splash pads!
​ Our first cold plate began as an experiment. We wanted to offer an effective way to cool off the dogs that emulated something they enjoy doing on a warm day - relaxing on the cold bathroom floor. After some trial and error we've finally created this masterpiece! The refrigeration is underground and we've added a canopy with a misting system! Park members will find easier access to the misting timer and some USB outlets on the benches to charge your phones as well. We are so lucky to do
It's always a party in daycare! It was obvious to us that our daycare dogs loved bubbles. After some time wondered how we could make it even more fun. Regular bubble machines wouldn't cut it, so we designed and created a bubble cannon!! The bubble solution is non toxic and dog safe. The daycare pups love playing with the cannon and come running whenever they hear the horn. We can always guarantee that anyone driving down Durham or Shepherd always smile when they see how much fun the cannon
​ At both our Maxie and Shepherd locations, we have four different groups your pup can join. Each of these groups are determined by size and temperament. We have two larger dog groups, a small dog group, and our enrichment group! We are very proud to say we know each dog individually and consider they play styles and personalities when we place them in a group!
Houston Bark Park and Daycare was established by animal lovers and advocates. The design of our buildings, outdoor play areas, and cold plates were all meticulously designed and fabricated by the owners personally. In Houston, TX one of our biggest concerns is combating the heat and humidity. We strongly felt that conventional methods of keeping our packs cool weren’t good enough for us.
