Privacy Policy for Houston Bark Park and Daycare

Terms and Conditions of Services

1. Ownership and Responsibility

I represent that I am the legal owner of the dog(s) associated with my account. I assume all risks, dangers, and responsibility for injuries to my dog(s) while using any services provided by Houston Bark Park & Daycare. I agree that I am solely responsible for any harm or damage caused by my dog(s), and I indemnify and hold Houston Bark Park & Daycare harmless from any such claims.

2. Assumption of Risk and Liability Waiver

I understand and agree that Houston Bark Park & Daycare and its staff are not liable for any problems arising out of the use of the facility by me or my dog(s), including injuries, illnesses, or damages—so long as reasonable care is exercised for matters under their control.

3. Risks Involving Other Dog Owners

I acknowledge that Houston Bark Park & Daycare is not liable for any injuries, illnesses, or damages resulting from the actions or inactions of other dog owners or their pets. Use of the facility is at my own risk.

4. Reporting of Dog Bites

If my dog bites an employee and the injury requires medical attention, I understand that the incident may be reported to Animal Control by the hospital. In such cases, Houston Bark Park & Daycare will comply with city regulations and provide the necessary owner information.

5. Participation and Behavior Management

I understand that Houston Bark Park & Daycare reserves the right to manage my dog’s participation in any services (boarding, daycare, grooming, etc.) as they see fit, including providing cool-downs, time-outs, and playgroup adjustments. They may refuse or dismiss dogs that do not meet health or temperament standards.

6. Behavioral Representation

I certify that my dog has never unduly harmed or threatened a person or another dog. If my dog displays dangerous or unfriendly behavior, Houston Bark Park & Daycare reserves the right to isolate the dog and require prompt pickup.

7. Health and Medical Clearance

I certify that my dog is in good health and free of communicable diseases. I understand that dogs with symptoms or health concerns (e.g., coughing, mobility issues, infections, wounds, etc.) may be refused service until cleared by a veterinarian.

8. Flea and Tick Policy

I understand my dog must be on a flea/tick preventative. If fleas or ticks are found, Houston Bark Park & Daycare will administer a bath and notify me. A $25 fee will be charged in addition to an express bath. Repeat infestations will require proof of treatment before resuming services.

9. Emergency Care Authorization

I authorize Houston Bark Park & Daycare to seek veterinary treatment for my dog as deemed necessary. I accept all financial responsibility for expenses incurred, including a $25 transportation fee if Houston Bark Park & Daycare staff transports my dog to VERGI 24/7 Emergency Animal Hospital.

10. Billing and Payment Authorization

I authorize the credit card on file to be charged for all services rendered, including any veterinary expenses or bank fees related to outstanding balances.​

 

11.Hours of Operations

• I understand (Monday – Friday) Daycare drop off hours are from 6:30 AM – 10:00 AM.  Drop off Resumes at 1:30 pm. 

• I understand (Monday – Friday) HBP is closed for nap-time at 11:15 am – 1:30 pm. 

• I understand (Monday – Friday) boarding drop off hours are from 6:30 am – 10:00 am.

• There are no later drop off hours.   

• I understand (Monday – Friday) HBP Closes at 7:00 pm.

• Late fees are $1.00 per minute until 7:15 pm.

• I understand if my dog is in the care of HBP by 7:15, my dog will be boarded for the night  (and incur overnight boarding charges).

• I understand Saturday and Sunday office hours are from 8:00am - 10:00 am and from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. 

• I understand (Saturday – Sunday) boarding drop off hours are from 8:00 am – 10:00 am.

• There are no later drop off hours.

 

12. Late Pick-Up and After-Hours Policy

I understand that dogs picked up after 7:00 pm are subject to a $1.00 per minute late fee until 7:15 pm. After 7:15 pm, dogs will be boarded overnight and fees will apply. I also acknowledge that there are specific drop-off/pick-up times posted on the website and that daytime closures may occur.

 

13. Media Release

I grant permission for Houston Bark Park & Daycare to post photos or videos of my dog on their website or social media. I understand that live camera footage may also be streamed online.

14. Policy and Pricing Changes

I acknowledge that pricing and policies are subject to change without notice. While some policies may be posted on the website, not all will be listed.

15. Credit Card

I understand and agree that the credit card on my profile will be used for any and all services rendered by Houston Bark Park and Daycare for the dogs listed in my profile.  I also agree that this credit card can be used for bank fees to satisfy any outstanding fees, including veterinary services incurred while under Houston Bark Park and Daycare's care.

16. Liability

I understand and agree that Houston Bark Park & Daycare and its staff are not liable for any problems arising out of the use of the facility by me or my dog(s), including but not limited to any injuries, illness or damages to either of us, provided Houston Bark Park & Daycare exercises reasonable care and precaution for matters under its control and for which it has a duty to do.
