Dog of the Month Is BACK! Meet Maxie’s Contestants

It’s official. Dog of the Month is coming back to Houston Bark Park & Daycare! 🐾🏆

With two HBP locations and way too many incredible pups to choose from, we’re switching things up! Each month, Shepherd and Maxie will take turns choosing their very own Dog of the Month. That means even more chances for the pups our team knows and loves to get the attention they deserve.

And trust us, the HBP team is VERY excited to brag about their favorite pups! 

We’re kicking things off at our Maxie location, where three very deserving dogs have earned their spot as our first Dog of the Month contestants. Only one will walk away with the title, the prizes, and some serious bragging rights.

So, without further ado… meet the contenders!

🦆 Duck Duck

Contestant #1: Duck Duck

Besides being a good boy there are so many reasons he should win. His  name fits him perfectly, he likes to chomp at water, he has perfect recall, and likes to chill and nap. Most importantly though, he can give you kisses on demand! - Emmy, Maxie Academy Supervisor

Zuzu

Contestant #2: Zuzu the Doodle

Tala

Contestant #3: Tala the Bernese Mountain Dog

"Tala bear is a petpal favorite for many reasons, and seeing her grow up is a privilege! One big reason as to why she is very loved is her sweet way of asking for butt scratchies. She approaches you gently nudging you to get your attention and she puts her head right under your hand."

How Is the Winner Chosen?

No campaigning. No stuffing the ballot box with treats. 😉

The winner will be determined by a vote from the Maxie team. Our staff spends their days getting to know these pups—their personalities, their quirks, their best friends, and all the little things that make them special.

Now they have the very difficult job of choosing just one!
