Spring Growth, New Seasons, and Returning to What Matters Most

Spring has a way of reminding us that growth does not always look the way we expect it to.

Sometimes growth is exciting and visible new blooms, new energy, new beginnings. But sometimes growth asks something harder of us. Sometimes it asks us to pause, reflect, and return to the roots that made us strong in the first place.

At Houston Bark Park and Daycare, that is exactly what this season is asking of us.

Over the years, our heart has always been in creating spaces where dogs feel safe, families feel known, and each location carries the warmth, care, and connection that make this community special. As we continue looking at where we are and where we want to go, we know that building the future well sometimes means strengthening the foundation underneath it.

As of April 15, we will be returning our full focus to our Heights locations and making the difficult decision to close our Energy Corridor location.

This decision was not made lightly. Energy Corridor has been home to wonderful dogs, loyal families, and team members who have helped shape meaningful relationships we deeply value. That love and gratitude remain a very real part of this decision.

Three dogs stand on a yellow splash pad in a fenced park with green turf. Three dogs appear cheerful. A fourth dog is sniffing curiously.

But sometimes growth means making hard choices so we can invest fully in what we know we want to build strongest and for us, that means pouring even more intention, energy, and care into our Heights family at both Maxie and Shepherd.

Our goal is simple: to make these locations stronger than ever, while continuing to deliver the loving, vibrant, family-centered experience that has always defined Houston Bark Park.

To our Energy Corridor families: you are deeply part of this story, and we would truly love to welcome you into one of our Heights locations so that the relationships, routines, and care your dogs know can continue with us.

Many familiar faces, caring hands, and the same heart that has always mattered most are here waiting for you.

Because while addresses may shift, what makes Houston Bark Park special has never been about a building, it has always been about the people, the dogs, and the love shared inside it.

Spring reminds us that returning to our roots is not moving backward. It is often how we grow strongest.

And we are grateful to continue growing with all of you.
